I am afraid of needles, is acupuncture still for me?
Many of our patients are slightly apprehensive of needles but still enjoy the benefits of acupuncture. Acupuncture needles are very different from the injections that one would receive at their medical doctor. Acupuncture needles are extremely thin and thus almost painless when entering the body. Most patients do not even know when the needle is in (or out), that is how painless it usually is. Please speak to the chiropractor about your concerns and a decision can be made with regard to the use of acupuncture in your treatment.
